The residents of the Wilden area of Kelowna celebrated the opening of their new neighbourhood park, Thursday July 28. The city partnered with the Federal and Provincial governments to achieve the park face lift.

Dr. Nassif took off my bandages yesterday, and as you can see, I’m still really swollen. He said that it would probably take 3 or 4 months for the swelling to totally go down. In the meantime, he advised me to massage the swollen areas so hopefully that will help.

Over the years my mother and I have ridden together less and less. You wouldn’t believe it but we keep out horses on the same lane but we very rarely ride together. I go out competing a lot and I’m always training one of my three horses in preparation for the next competition I’m due at. I love competing but I also appreciate that horses need a variety of work so that they do not become sour. I take my horses down the road for a nice relaxed walk and a canter along the fields which they seem to love. Although my mother also hacks out she is very nervous and she often ends up turning home which isn’t good for her or the horse as it gets very stressed and excited because it doesn’t know what’s going on. I have decided to purchase a western saddle for her, I don’t know whether it’ll help but I believe that due to the thick stirrups and the handle at the front it will make her feel extra secure and may give her some of the confidence back.
Along with the western saddle I had considered buying her western safety stirrups not only to make her feel more secure but so that I know she’ll also be secure in her western safety stirrups. Anyway, I don’t know whether it’ll help but lets see!
At age 47 and recently divorced, Vivian begins her single career (a.k.a. husband search) by getting a face-lift; her new face receives plenty of cheers from Carol and Walter, but only jeers from Maude.
